Deep Brain Stimulation surgery is a treatment method that we call "neuromodulation" in the medical language, in which we try to relieve the symptoms of the disease by providing electrical current to the areas responsible for the disease with thin electrodes that we place in the brain. With this method, we can suppress or stimulate the activities of cells in target regions of the brain. Since we can control and program the current we give with a computer, we can say that it is a completely recyclable, controllable and adjustable treatment method.
